Good Java

Cocoa, citrus, honey, almonds, full body, bright acidity.

Canta Gallo is a small community in Las Segovias region of northern Nicaragua.
The community of Canta Gallo (Singing Rooster) is located in the rugged zone of Nueva Segovia outside of Condega in the North. There are 205 families that make up the Canta Gallo community and contribute coffee. Of these 205 families, 36 are headed by women, meaning they are single mothers who rely on the crop for their yearly wage.
The beans are processed in tiny micro-mills on each family’s farm.
The families also grow corn, beans and raise a few head of cattle for consumption. They take much pride in the quality their coffee and relish in the beauty of the surrounding forests. The high elevation, lush shade trees, nutrient rich soils, and sound organic systems create a coffee of deep proportions.
